Mechanics of a coaching search in 2024: Brain Drain call

Forgive me for forgetting the name of the caller who made this point on todays drain, but it is was excellent:

Having a coaching search during the season or even early December is a going to be complicated for big programs.

With the expanded playoff, many coaches will be off limits for far longer than normal. There’s almost no benefit to doing an early firing unless you’re going after someone out of playoff contention.

Some program is going to have to be the guinea pig. Who will it be?

I listened to the latter part of the drain (chip chip through bmatt). I think they all hit the nail on the head. There is no identity on O. Obviously it's on Hew.

I think he's a pass first/RPO guy and that shit isn't getting it done. Firing your whole staff on O won't mean shit unless you have a strategy on what you want to do. Getting pushed in the running game by 5-6 man front by Vandy....phuck me.

Just an amateur's thoughts. This sucks bad. Resisted piling on Hew but it's on him.

Here's what we can expect from Freeze next season ...

Bassman
He'll keep most of this class intact.

We're going to win one more, maybe. Quite possibly none.

But he'll still keep most of the class.

TPTB will make sure we have a portal QB, a couple portal OL and a RB. We've already closed on some of those, or so I'm told.

So next year we'll have the talent to win...

We will win, 7-8 games.

But we'll be severely outcoached in 3-4 losses.

At some point, the talent doesn't win games. You have to have coaching.

We don't have a head man. We just don't.

Don't post much. Here are some thoughts

1. The 10 major presidential election betting
sites show a uniform 60/40 split. They have only been wrong in the Clinton and Dewey elections

2. In every election in the modern era poll averages have under polled republicans presidential nominees

3.Atlas intel has been the most a accurate in the last 3 presidential elections

4. Become familiar with the term Lpv voters or Npv others

5.Close race but we will be fine whatever happens

6. I would like to beat Vandy this weekend
