Why ST Coach should be fired in a photo!!!

IMG-1921.jpg

4th down and Vandy is punting back to AU for the final time is the game. We set up a return, but the amount of failure is this photo is amazing.

All but one of AUs up men turn their backs to the punter BEFORE THE BALL IS GONE!! No one has eyes on what is happening. A lone AU player is the only personnel available to keep the punter from taking off, and he’s got 4 Vandy blockers between him and the ball.

There is a 20 yard long alley outside the hash that no one is paying attention to. Should that punter want, he can pull the ball and pick up the first down easily.

This is a poorly coached team being headed up by a Bible thumping conman who is no better than the 1 800 Club televangelists who whine and cry and ask for your money to line their pockets with.

Straight trash. I would say we deserve better but if we’re fvcking stupid enough to pay fvcktards then I’m not really sure we do.

Have we seen the last of Thorne?

Why on God’s green earth would hew ever trot him out there again. He is uninspiring and unproductive when the game is on the line. Start one of the younger guys. It’s not like we are playing for anything at this point. Might as well get them some game experience. Hell I’d give White a shot. He can play in every game from here on and still redshirt.

FOOTBALL Hugh Freeze quick notes (post-Vandy)

We are set to speak to Hugh Freeze following Auburn's 17-7 loss to Vanderbilt.

Follow along and refresh for all updates.

*** Extremely disappoint again. This has been a too often story for us this year, for our players, for our fans. Thought our defense played their guts out. Probably did the best job against that squad all year. Outgained opponents again and not having anything to show for it.

*** On the boo birds: "I don't hear that. We're just not consistent enough. I thought our defense was playing at a high level. Offensively, we were not able to create explosive runs and seems like we were struggling to protect the passer."

*** Says the bench failed to keep its energy up on the sidelines.

*** "I thought Vandy did a good job. Played a lot of bear front. Thought they tackled extremely well. Have to watch the film and see how much we strained at the point of attack." - on running game being shut down

*** On Jarquez Hunter: "I don't think he was banged up, but he looked gassed."

*** On possibly changing play-calling duties: "No, I don't think we are at that point. Maybe limiting the scope of what we are trying to do."

*** On Payton Thorne and his shoulder issue: "I said you have to be honest with us and he said he was good to go, so you have to trust them."

*** "Finishing everything you do is important. It's easy to check out. They haven't checked out and continue to lay a future for this program." - on his players

*** On leverage penalty: "I better be careful here but that was certainly a critical call in the game and one I certainly disagree with."

*** On message to team to win out to reach a bowl game: "One practice at a time. We won't go down that road. Stacking days to get better."

*** Mentions the bad decision to call a timeout right before two minute warning.

That's it for Hugh. Try to enjoy the rest of your Saturday. Don't forget to turn the clocks back tonight.

Russ47 and I Would Like To Formally Invite You Good People

To jump on the Abrams Tank Train and join us in supporting the #23 team in the nation 7-0 Army Black Nights! If you want to watch football as it was meant to be in its purest form and enjoy Saturdays again, then now is the time. Hell, even that Trans goat loving team Navy is ranked and undefeated. I know what you're thinking- wait til they play Notre Dame. Well, once we dispatch those little leprechauns, nothing will stop Army from making the playoffs. And, they didnt need any NIL money to buy a team just to lose to Missouri and end up 3-9 or 4-8 or 5-7. A team made up of future heros and patriotic Americans, not well paid prima donnas that only care about themselves and their bank accounts.
