Is realizing that the guys on our roster are not at Auburn because they “love Auburn.” The guys who stay long enough may come to love Auburn, but coming in they are here because they’re playing minor league NFL and getting paid to do a job.

The days of Auburn Men on the football team are essentially dead as long as the transfer portal and NIL remain in their current capacity. Every single guy on our team is currently using their position to leverage more money, or look for somewhere else to go. Just have to accept that it’s where the sport is for the foreseeable future.

Johni Broome, Auburn​

The 6-foot-10, 240-pound fifth-year senior and preseason Associated Press All-American is making a habit of this. This is the second straight week and third time in four weeks that Broome has been the choice, this time based on a dominant showing in a romp against then-No. 16 Purdue in his return from injury.

He finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in the 18-point win, a game in which the Tigers at one point led by 33 points. It came days after he exited two minutes into a win against Georgia State with a shoulder injury, causing a scare for the star of a team with Final Four aspirations. Factoring out that short appearance, Broome is averaging 20.0 points and 12.5 rebounds on the season.

Auburn DL Darron Reed announced he will be entering his name into the transfer portal on social media. Was a four-star out of high school, never saw much game action.

Former Georgia Tech WR Eric Singleton is in Auburn today for a visit. Looks like UGA is the biggest competitor at this time. He has two years of eligibility left.

Also expected to visit today are QB Maalik Murphy from Duke, RB Durell Robinson from UConn and OL Josh Thompson from Northwestern. Will let you know if/when they arrive.

Weirdest story I can recall in a long time. Lots of state and federal government folks talking about it but not really providing any explanations. DoD says its not foreign adversary and not ours. You would think that with this much interest some media folks would be camped out to get high res, verifiable images every night but that doesn't seem to be happening. Everything seems to be amateur video. If these were private drones, given the size of the drones wouldn't someone have to step forward and come clean?

I think most of recognize and appreciate your supreme [basketball] intelligence. From my lens, it's practically off the charts. Due us all a favor, and let us know which teams below are bad, average, good, or great. That will really help us all set our expectations for Denver Jones. I don't want to get my hopes up for him in a game that he's going to fail at because the team is too good, and conversely, I don't want to get too confident in his performance against an average or below team. I feel confident I speak for everyone on this. Please share your infinite wisdom with us novices. TIA
