BB: Defending aggressively without fouling is a big difference

in this team, and last years team, IMHO.

Last year we played really good, aggressive defense, but it seemed like opponents were always in a bonus free throw situation. That slowed the game down and allowed teams to catch their breath. Our 10 man rotation last year would eventually wear the opponent down and our offense would take control. This year, it seems that the 9 man rotation is wearing teams down quicker because we are not slowing the game down, and allowing teams to catch their breath at the free throw line. We're just now fouling anywhere near as much.

Denver Jones in particular, and this whole team in general, really get after it on Defense, but seem to be playing a lot smarter. Even CBM is playing defense a lot smarter than last year, and has toned down some of that wild emotion.

I don't know if the stats support me on this, but that's how I've seen it this year.

what is your fondest bunker memory?

this place has meant a lot to me over the years and has served as a way to connect with fellow barners in an otherwise mostly bama orbit and definitively BAMMER family.

it still seems like yesterday we lost legendary bunks like dtrudeau and chattiger (along with several others) and nothing makes the inevitability of time more apparent than losing those we care about along the way. how this place has responded to FAMBLY has been endearing, tbh, given that most here are perfect strangers sharing a common slightly challenging fandom.

my favorite memories here are probably meeting @Eagle5 for some boiled bbq at SAWS and the first bunk get together at landry’s (rip). the portable creed wall was breathtaking, and being graced with a handshake by @Jay G. Tate himself left me starstruck.

those were simpler and (winning-er) times. 🥹
