Anyone else still excited about the future of AU football besides me?

Don’t get me wrong, the losses are frustrating. Especially when they’ve been as close as they have been. With that said, I can think back to several drives and several moments in several games that might have changed the outcome with slightly better QB production. How many INT’s have we had because Thorne just missed someone like Coleman? Tipped passes resulted in INT’s which resulted in points. Good play call, correct read, just not accurate enough (and by a slim margin). Or drive killers because Thorne runs back 10 yards and lays down the sack instead of throwing it away. Yesterday, there were at least a few instances with correct play calling, correct reads, but Thorne would overthrow the receiver. The missed wide-open Rivaldo throw might have changed the game. I don’t know. I’m not saying it’s all on the QB. I just feel like our scheming is improving, and the reads are for the most part good (which is a result of coaching) but our QB room can’t quite get us over under hump. I’ve stayed true that 2025 should be the season for expectations to really ramp up. Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing what happens if we get a more serviceable QB. Let’s not pretend that if we had ponied up the money for Cam Ward, we’d still be sitting at 2-5. Thinking back to all those small moments that had huge impacts, I can’t help but feel like those numbers would be reversed (or even better) if we had a top-half SEC QB. This isn’t a league where you can consistently win without one unless you’re also surrounded with NFL talent. We have young future NFL guys, but not a upper-class roster filled with them. We missed on a better QB. It happens and these are the results. I, for one, am still looking forward to next year regardless

OT: Hot investment tip ITT.

Ok, I think I'm done talking about basketball this year. Unless we make an SECT run. It just makes me too discouraged. So instead, how about we circle back around to a discussion last week on cryptocurrency. We were all enthralled with JimmyChaf's Bitcoin purchase and fight against an evil Polish hacker. But during that thread, someone mentioned Ethereum/Ether, which is a different kind of cryptocurrency.

I researched it a bit and it actually seems to be superior to Bitcoin. It was trading at about $13, so I bought some last week. It is now up to almost $19. Within that week, there were a few big announcements"

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/27/...-alliance-business-banking-security.html?_r=0

"Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase and other corporate giants are joining forces to create a new kind of computing system based on the virtual currency network Ethereum.
Some 30 companies are set to announce on Tuesday the formation of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, which will create a standard version of the Ethereum software that businesses around the world can use to track data and financial contracts."
Then, during the announcement of the Ethereum Alliance on Tuesday, Vivek Kohli of Bank of New York Mellon said: "We are a bank. We would never use Bitcoin." The implication being they WOULD use Ethereum.

I really think big things are ahead for ETH. There's a chance that all crypto crashes a bit if the Bitcoin ETF isn't approved on the 11th. But the more research I do on Ethereum, the more it looks sustainable and like it might be the next big thing. Anyway, maybe I end up being wrong because I don't really know what I'm talking about. But for anyone who is interested, you might want to take a look at it. It is under $19 right now, and plenty of smart people think $50-$100 by the end of the year is possible. And the more hopeful/optimistic think it could surpass Bitcoin over the next 2-3 years (a combination of BTC moving down and ETH moving up). It is at least worth a flyer.

What are folks thinking concerning this upcoming Signing Day?

Currently at #4 on Rivals.... but it's a loooong 2 weeks before Signing Day.

Do we hold steady and sign a top 5 class, or will we be this year's Florida?

To be honest, the past 5 (or more) years have deflated me to a state of apathy. I want to care, but I'm scared of getting hurt again, and again, and again......

But, a top 5 class would be a bellow to my flame.

For my sanity's sake, I'm going into that day very cautiously....

I am setting my expectations so that I'll be ecstatic if we sign a top 10 class.
Be content with a top 15 class
Be somewhat disappointed with > 15
Be very disappointed > 20

Is this how y'all are approaching this Signing day, or are you Super Confident, or JABA?
