Maybe you should have lead with that.No thankfully
Well seems most people that had it, myself included, don’t end up on a ventilator.Maybe you should have lead with that.
I know of 2 different people that got the vaccine in February and caught Covid this week. Anybody else hearing similar stories?
Are we certain though? Shots still rolling out in early stages. Can’t really know for sure until after 6 months or so (I would think)
Me either. It’s not 100% effective. Do people understand statistics?I’m just not sure why this is news...
well, maybe because it is technically not a vaccine but rather a trial.I know of 2 different people that got the vaccine in February and caught Covid this week. Anybody else hearing similar stories?
It's just not groundbreaking if you understand how a vaccine works. This thread went south quickly. I found about one, and I was kind of surprised. Then the second person told me and I was like holy crap. Figured I’d ask if anyone else has heard of this. Apologies all. Didn’t mean to offend or make this political.
I’m very sorry about your mother. Again, this was not some sort of political pro Covid or anti Covid thread. Was genuinely curious if anyone else knew anyone with similar post vaccine story. It fvcking killed my mother a week before Christmas and effects everyone differently. Go fvck yourself.
if you are even remotely healthy, getting COVID will not cause you to die or be on a vent.IT doesn't keep you from catching COVID....it keeps you from dying or having to be on a vent, basically. Totally lessens symptoms...also, variants are the unknown as well.

This is only partly true, it SIGNIFICANTLY decreased the likelihood of getting covid.
I have not read any studies or heard anything to indicate this is happening. We have had zero patients at MGH that have contracted COVID post vaccination, at least to my knowledge. There is more to this story that they aren't telling you.

That's encouraging. Weeks ago I saw something that said it was very effective vs the UK strain but was unknown how it would do vs the SA variant. The group that has been taking it for longer than 6 months is at 91% effective in real world study. 800 of them were in South Africa and it was 100% effective vs that variant.
That’s a lie. A very good friend had a forty year old employee (Tri-athlete) die from the virus 3 days after being diagnosed with the virus. He had no “preexisting conditions.”if you are even remotely healthy, getting COVID will not cause you to die or be on a vent.

Got my second Pfizer shot Monday. Zero side effects from either one besides a slightly sore arm from the second one. And as shots go, they were literally the most painless shots of any type that I've ever receivedSaw that too. This info came out today along with a few others last two weeks. I was worried about variants screwing us as well as vaccine hesitancy. Now just have to hope the latter slowly goes down as more people are vaccinated with few to no problems.

Out of curiosity, did you have Covid before? Reason I ask is I’ve read mixed reviews on who feels bad after the second shot (people that previously has Covid and people who never had it)Got my second Pfizer shot Monday. Yeah sounds like flu like symptoms. Nothing that would require hospital or trouble breathing etc
Good to hear you are doing fine now!Got Pfizer shot ( first) 3 weeks ago. Tested positive last Friday Very mild symptoms ...some loss of smell and alittle head congestion. No fever. No loss of taste. No muscle fatigue. Weird. Feel fine now. But it happens. Haven’t had the flu in 20 years. Weird weird virus
It's a vaccine. There’s a story about 100 people getting it post “vaccine” in Washington state. It’s because it’s not a vaccine - it’s experimental gene therapy. It merely acts to lessen the symptoms - something which cheap existing drugs like ivermectin already did.
The vaccines aren’t 100% effective...about 1 out of every 10 vaccinated people who catch the virus will have COVID symptoms. The purpose of the vaccines is to guarantee you won’t have to go to the hospital with the virus, which is what the trials and real-world studies have shown so far.
if you get it after the vaccine it's prob gonna be extremely mild compared to if you hadn't
The flu shot is 100% a vaccine. There are many, many strains of the flu and the vaccine is formulated to address the most likely strains to be prevalent based on the previous year's data. Sometimes they hit the most prevalent strains and sometimes they miss. There is a reason they call it a "flu shot" instead of a "flu vaccine"...there is no guarantee you will not get the flu after taking it.
