At least 3 dead after helicopter with 5 onboard crashes into Hudson River

Officials said the five passengers on the helicopter were a mix of children and adults.

FOOTBALL Hugh Freeze quick notes (4-10-25)

We are set to speak with Hugh Freeze as Auburn wraps up spring practice tomorrow with the A-Day scrimmage.

Follow along and refresh for all updates.

*** He picks Jordan Spieth to win the Masters after long deliberation.

*** Couldn't be more pleased with the energy and effort that the team has given this spring. Tuesday was dominated by the defense. Offense came back today and did really well except for last drill.

*** Leadership of the team has really kept the energy up. Eight days in pads. Likes the format of this spring practice. Still wishes practice was in June.

*** Excited about the attitude and accountability of this team. Shows up in a lot of different ways.

*** On validation of signing class: Fegans is a winner. Signed two of the best safeties (Starr and Woodby) and they are showing why.

*** On Sam Turner: "He's going to be dynamic. He's added great depth to us on the outside." Mentions he called him Sam Darnold the other day in the press conference.

*** Some good runs today in the second period. I wish Durrell Robinson was out there so we could see our depth. They know what they have in Damari and Jeremiah.

*** Perry is starting to mature, as is Malcolm. They are starting to understand how to practice and how to prepare. Perry flashed some in one-on-ones today. Still has to be consistent with his preparation. Mentions that the competition in the wide receiver room is high and you have to earn your reps.

*** Have to demand in the young guys (especially the big guys) that there are no loafs when a play kind of goes away from you. Mentions Amaris' growth has been huge since last year.

*** On what makes Jackson Arnold the right fit: Hugh knew him out of high school. HIs fundamentals fits what they want to do. HIs arm strength is really good. Obviously he can run. He needed a restart, and that's not a knock on anyone else. He fit with Hugh on his visits and the culture here.

*** On punting: Hudson was killing it. Maguire has a chance to be really good in time punting wise. "Alex is back to being Alex" as far as field goal kicking.

*** On his health: "Slow aggressive cells." If mentally he can handle waking up at night knowing you have something in you that you don't want in you, there's no reason to have removal right now, per doctors. He thinks he can handle the mental side of it.

*** Hopes fans aren't disappointed on Saturday with the normal practice like they did today. Won't be a game like usual.

*** Awesome to get Too Tall, Brayden some reps at other spots. Be excited to get Connor back.

That's it for Hugh. Enjoy the Masters!
