Can't believe I was well into adulthood before getting a pro tip on this twist on a PBJ sammich, man, Oh, man so good.
PBJ heated skillet style
Suggest sourdough bread, but whatever bread you prefer.
Get a skillet heating up with melted REAL butter like you'd make a grilled cheese sammich.
Slather on a healthy amount of peanut butter on one slice of bread (I prefer crunchy for this sammich), and jelly you prefer (strawberry preserve for me) on other slice of bread.
Slap those slices together, and make a couple more for # of people eating.
Now heat that PBJ up in the skillet, mash lightly with a spatula to push the heat into the sammich, and melt the peanut butter. Drop a pat of butter on top, letting it melt. Flip once, drop another pat of butter on top. With the sammich golden brown, serve it up. Slice the sammich diagonally and serve.
Slap the sh** out of the nearest granny in the room, and claim innocence due to culinary delight.
