Today I read where two different al.com sports pundits declared Bruce Pearl responsible for not just the unprecedented upswing in basketball for the state of Alabama, but for elevating competition all across the SEC. The last SEC coach I heard get that kind of credit was named Steve Spurrier and he was in a different sport.

We ended up being ranked #7 in the nation. Top-five and both Offense and Defense Ken Pom metrics but we end up as a fourth seed after winning the top conference tournament.

Making sure I didn’t need extra medicine. 😂

Our first game is against an Yale, Ivy League school who barely beat their 14-18 opponent by a point to win their tournament????
