Before Auburn was making tournaments I would watch games of random teams and latch on to players through the whole tournament. Now that Auburn is ousted I don’t even care to watch any more of it. Kind of sucks.

Well folks ...

there ain't a damn way to sugarcoat what we just saw.

We didn't have a single player step up when we were challenged. Not a single one.

Jaylin disappeared. The guards and Johni didn't hit FT...missed 6 of the last 7.

CBM...he may have let us down the most.

This is the worst loss for Auburn basketball since Richmond, and we won't ever get over the rep.

Go ahead and bend over, this is going to hurt, and the hurt ain't gonna stop for a long, long while.

Anyone feel like that game is going to be a turning point for Bruce

and the rest of his time at AU? Either going to light a different fire and he’s going to go apeshit and win us a title. Or it killed the 10 year buzz, and he’ll kind of fade off until he resigns/retires. I feel like it’s going to go one way or the other. That game, that loss, that idiot getting ejected. Stings in a different way.

Bruce is such a great ambassador for Auburn and a great coach...

...The only major issue I've had with him this year is that he didn't get onto his players about all the lip service and Technical fouls. That sheet comes back to haunt you as we all saw yesterday. This is not solely a CBM problem. You can include Johni crying about every foul (or non-foul), KD and his insanity that very recently added up to 4 Techs in 4 consecutive games, and of course CBM. Maybe this gives these guys some kind of edge in the games, but it also can cost you in a close game.

We have developed a reputation with the officials. They're consciously or subconsciously looking for reasons to blow the whistle against AU. Bruce could have, and should have, put an end to this a month or more ago. I thought the flagrant 2 was way overkill, but refs these days have obviously been told to err on the side of "player safety".

There are plenty of other things that happened yesterday to result in that ugly L, but this one thing was probably the biggest. Bruce coulda prevented this if he had just curtailed all of this over a month ago. Still a HUGE Bruce fan though. WDE !

Of All The Missteps Today

The turnover by KD was perhaps the most fatal. Up 4, rebounded a missed shot, and he takes off down the middle of the court in a full sprint and immediately gets stripped. For a guy who has been here for years, he has never improved his situational awareness. It was not out of character but was as crucial as anything else that happened, imo.
