Nike deal ...

from someone who should know was a masterful job of negotiating by Cohen and his advisory team.

I don't know how much will become public, but the deal is larger than the current Nike-Bama deal (that can change of course) and features a number of Auburn-specific perks that Nike agreed to that others don't have.

EDIT: A little research tells me that the current Bama deal with Nike was renegotiated quietly in 2013 and ends in 2025, about when ours begins, so it's not surprising at all if ours is significantly larger at this time.

Peter Millar eb66 casual pants. Yay or Nay??

Looking for a nice fitting casual pant. I need a little room in the upper leg and rear. I’m too old for the girly skinny pants that some dudes wear now that taper down to the ankle. I don’t want baggy, saggy in the butt pants either. These look like a happy medium and the reviews are pretty good. If I’m going to drop $160 on a pair or pants, I need them to fit and look good and continue to do so after they have been worn and washed a large number of times

Why Pegues might be a good fit (long post nerds only)

BEST GAME OFFENSIVELY FROM OUR GUARDS

= Baylor 25 points (19 and 6), notre dame 25 (15 and 10), indiana 34 points (24 and 10), USC 22 points (15 and 7), LSU 23 points (10 and 13)

every game passt that 20 and under, and almost every time its one pg have ok production and one disappearing

ZOOM DHOs

-early we were running these sets a lot with the pgs. back half of the season, we ran em with CBM and denver primarily.

"More zoom action and this one flows into Broome setting a pin down right after the initial action.

Notice who is running most of these actions as the ball handler: Holloway and Jones. Why?

Both have the ability to stop and pop on a dime but are also adept at getting downhill and either playmaking or finishing.

And that's why this action has so much potential for Auburn's guards because the defense has to honor every potential outcome with those two."

- @Henry Patton 2023

1.) ability to stop and pop on a dime

2.) ability to beat your man downhill and finish

1 helps 2. 2 helps 1.

this is where we were getting most of our production from PGs early in the season

by indiana we were still running it pretty effectively at the beginning. because aden was hitting those 3s at the top off the DHO, it allowed the defender to respect his scoring and if they bit he could beat them downhill

you can see in the highlights most of his misses were outside the sets on spot ups or isos where aden does his own thing.

our ballscreen stuff wasnt as effective and you even seen the start of CBM running ballscreen stuff with johni in this game

even in this game tho we get behind early and fight our way back through transition and BLOBs

USC mostly played matchup zone so you dont really see anything here except open shooters

the last good game = LSU

aden got comfortable early with open space somehow with im and cmo. then they run the zoom with him and jwill and he hits again. tre and dylan are running it and get open chaney johnson look.

the other note- when tre is running these screen DHOs a couple times it would come to kd and he almost always denies and goes to the rim. kinda disrupted the flow especially if kd doesnt get a make

notice shots stop falling 2nd half, game gets tight aden is trying to force some spot up/iso stuff and the game gets tight. we get cbm 3 off a scramble and then some transition plays to get that seperation back again

past this point more and more of the DHOs get run by CBM cause he could make plays and by the yale game towards the end, denver was running most of them..

if you notice from their scout videos

-tre: most points came from transition. then ballscreen handler (69th percentile nice). spot up he was pretty good but iso he was 18th percentile. not gonna beat his man off the dribble, good at pushing the ball up the floor and getting off ball

-aden: WAY too many shots off the dribble and not hitting them. ball screen handler (57th percentile) SPOT UP (93rd percentile at 20% of the time) hint: he shouldve been offball more, transition 8TH PERCENTILE, iso 39th percentile

TLDR

-summary: they were ok as screen handlers, really good offball stuff. could not beat their man iso, tre was good in transition but aden was awful at it.
-the stuff we had clearly set up in the offseason was more ball screen stuff (based on baylor to indiana games 8 games early) but if youre not hitting the shots you have to beat your man to the rim. our guys couldnt do that.

HOW DOES PEGUES HELP

-he scores as ballscreen handler 28% of time 84th percentile- its his bread and butter. ELITE BALLSCREEN HANDLER
-good at spot up off ball stuff (IMPORTANT IF DENVER RUNS SOME PG ON THE ZOOM DHOs)
-transition is tre/aden level. not amazing but not bad
-good at iso (WILL HELP IF SETS BREAK DOWN)

worries:
-hes not elite at the rim but hes ok. wonder if increase in competition, will he be able to beat his man off the dribble. his finishing when he gets there looks good
-advanced defensive stats dont look great

heres his games vs "good teams"

he struggled a bit vs sdsu and virginia despite hitting clutch shots, probably highest usage on the team and comes away with 10-15 points range (except in the samford game)
if we do pick him up, can he produce with lower usage + can he defend at a SEC level.

Pay no taxes as form of reparations.. lmao ok..

Whatever happened to that 1 girl the bunker was infatuated with

In no particular order, I think she shacked up with a TE. She had a kid, met a bunker member in Las Vegas then shacked with him thru the championship game. Was it gstiger maybe?

All I really want to know if she ended up a house wife or selling real estate. Ohh maybe a pharmaceutical rep if she works. Which id be kinda of surprised unless time was not kind.

She was extremely popular with ladies of the bunker 🤣

The white knights of the time is something of arthurian legend.

Ps I'm not asking for name of said real estate company..i just want my predictions confirmed or denied.

Sorry pervs I am breaking rules and stuff because I ain't got any pics. I'm sure some you knights do, though posting them would be the creeps .

I'm just testing my psychic abilities
