Alright BP has two guards committed. We're losing a good bit after this season including the big guys. What does the Bunk think the recruiting plan will be regarding more HS players vs. the portal? Is BP recruiting any bigs out of HS this cycle?
Listed at 6'10", 245lbs but probably closer to 6'9" but every bit of 245 if not more. Kid is pudgy from his face down to his calves while taking the ball numerous times at the top of the key and spinning and crossing up defenders like a SG on his way to the basket. Really fun player to watch if you like watching players that are built like a centers from the 90's do SG things. It's a bummer we couldn't land this kid. Bruce had us in the top 3, but Maryland got the traction and never looked back. We need to throw more money at Bruce. I'm also saying that with zero knowledge on what his budget is. Our basketball NIL budget could be in the top 3 in the SEC. I have no idea. But even it is, Bruce deserves more.
Through 6 SEC games, AU has only scored more than 21 points once, against UK
Through 6 SEC games AU has rushed for a grand total of 3 rushing TDs
As we all know, If you can’t run the ball you can’t win.
So the question is, why can’t the team run the football with the same returning players that were able to run the ball reasonably effectively last season?
Is going to be what we always wanted Jaylin Williams to be. So athletic and is not scared. You can tell the kid is a hard worker and will be a huge piece for us this year!
Honest question...is this allowed?
I don't know what the rules are any longer but is this not ok or "frowned upon?"
It seems a little questionable but I no longer have any idea what is and what is not ok.
i think it’s possible (probable?). I know we have had a lot of threads like this but with Deuce now flirting with Ole Miss you have to start to wonder. This season was the proof of concept season that was forecasted to see AU scrape together 7 wins and play in a crappy bowl game. Both gone. 4-8 with a pretty much incompetent offense can’t be exciting to recruits along with a more and more seemingly basket case head coach. Auburn once again finds itself in yet another probable dead end with the head coach once again being the weakest link.
