I remember being told on here this wasn't happening...

I could dig up the old thread but will just start a new one. Expect more of this with the wink and nod open border policies from the Border Czar.

Officials from Aurora, about nine miles east of Denver, told Fox News Digital the Tren de Aragua gang has gained a strong foothold in their city, commandeering apartment complexes and drumming up violent crime and sex trafficking.

"We currently have entire complexes under gang control — complexes where staff have been beaten up, they've been threatened, their families have been threatened [and] complexes where there are no staff left on the property," Aurora City Council Member Danielle Jurinsky said. "These complexes are being run by this Tren de Aragua gang.

"They start brokering apartments themselves when someone leaves out of fear or whatever. They go in and take pictures of the apartment themselves. Then, I've been told, within hours, a Venezuelan family moves in.

"Parts of the city are absolutely under this gang control. The local media is downplaying this," she said. "I believe politics is being played with people's lives. ... Nothing is being done to help the American citizens that are being trapped under this gang's control."

Besides the rankings after the all-star games, which will probably see only minor movement, what is your biggest surprise from the ranking update?

I would have to go with Jourdin Crawford. Dude is 89th on ESPN and 100th on 247, with both having him in the top 15 at his position, but only the 48th best DT on here.

My second surprise would be Shamar Arnoux. Rivals seems to think very highly of him, moving him up in each update, but he's a low 3-star on every other site.

Clarification on some Rubdown comments

JGT: You got burned by your optimism on Payton Thorne during the summer

BMatt: I did

Stultz: I think we all did... I know who else did... Hugh

BMatt: That all offensive staff got burned.... by the OTs and the QB positions

Im somewhat confused about the idea that Hugh and company were "burned" by Thorne.

He was a mediocre QB at Michigan State. He was not good last year. Did they actually expect him to be better than mediocre in 2024?

They watched him all of 2023, Spring 2024, Summer 2024, and Fall Camp AND now they are burned by his performance?

Let's break this down even further... Generally speaking, the expectation for this season was in the 7-8 win range.

Payton obviously looked like complete dogshit vs. Cal.

However, I would suggest that outside the Cal game, Payton Thorne has been exactly the QB he has been since 2022 at Michigan State. You can look at his QBR and his Passer Rating. You see that he performs slightly above and below his Career Averages, especially in the games that we typically would have counted as hopeful wins in the preseason.

I guess my confusion is.. Who did Hugh and company think they were going to see this fall?

And maybe what is even more confusing or concerning is the fact that they benched him following the Cal game, which prevented him from getting more game reps with the new offense for the New Mexico game. Then they decided to go back to him in the Arkansas game after watching Hank drown for a half... a game that I fully believe could have been a win with Thorne for the full game.

So a guy they watched for all of 2023, Spring 2024, Summer 2024, and Fall Camp was benched after the second game in the season. And then re-inserted halfway through the 4th game of the season.

They looked at the offense all of 2023, Spring 2024, Summer 2024, and Fall Camp said thought lets hitch our wagons (hopes and dreams) to this guy. A guy that helped Michigan State win 5 games in 2022. A guy that helped Auburn win 6 games in 2023. I guess getting to 7 was just part of that natural progression.

maybe Hugh knew how gassed Jarquez would get in the second half of the season so he decided to limit his carries and role?

THE RUNDOWN PRESENTED BY VOODOO WING COMPANY (11/18/24)
Bryan Matthews, Caleb Jones, Brian Stultz, Henry Patton and Jay G. Tate reconvene in the Old Football Complex to discuss the most pressing news, which today centers on the football team's upcoming game against the hated Texas A&M Aggies.

The guys worked ardently to make today's show as concise as possible. Topics:

• Auburn beat ULM badly

• Cam Coleman was awesome. Can he catch 8 a game? Should he?

• Jarquez Hunter hit the 1,000-yard milestone. That's big for him.

• Was Payton Thorne solid against ULM? Solid enough?

• Auburn did well on third down in a few different ways.

• Shouldn't the A&M line be more like 8.5 points?

• Auburn flipped one and lost a flip this week.

• Erick Smith committed, but he wasn't a flip.

• Is Isaiah Gibson back in play?

• The Fightin' Pearls crushed Kent State and now have UNA in town.

• Women's hoops is at Oregon on Wednesday night. That's a big one.

• Baseball wrapped up fall ball with its own World Series.

The show ends with a concise supply of salutations, shoutouts and a couple shoutdowns for the most outstanding members (this week) from The Bunker community. Great folks and a great community!

The show is presented by VooDoo Wing Company with locations in Auburn, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Florence, Charlotte, Chapel Hill and Las Vegas. Check them out IN PERSON for delicious chicken or on the web at www.voodoowingco.com.
