The numbers say this is the best team we’ve had under Bruce. This is impressive to me because it’s probably somewhere between 3-5 in terms of talent. It’s second best offensive team behind the final 4 team and the best defensive team. I have no idea if that will translate to a deep tourney run, but this team has as good a chance as any we’ve had.

How many losses do you see the rest of the way?

I am trying to not be too sunshine about it but I feel like the schedule sets up well for us. I will throw in a "T" for a toss up as it wouldn't surprise me if we lost. I do think Tennessee is better than us by a little bit and UK is a better offensive team b/c they can shoot 3s. Their defense is still suspect though.

@bama -T
@MSU - W
Vandy - W
@Ole Miss - W (I was going to put a T but we dominated them so bad that I think we pull it out on the road. It will be a closer game though.)
bama - W
@ Florida - L (I don't think UF is better but they played UK tough and I don't think we match up well with them.)
USCe - W
Kentucky - T
@UGA - W
@UTjr - L
MSU - W
@Mizzou - W
UGA - W

I fully admit it is a super sunshine outlook and I honestly wasn't trying to be sunshiney. We will lose a game or 2 that I have as a W but we have improved so much and are playing at such an efficient pace that you can't say it is a fluke at this point. Someone give me some shades b/c I am bright right now!

Try this. Final 4 team vs This year’s 11

Our Final 4 team.

Jared played 30+ minutes 34 times. Fewest minutes played 21 and that was only once. He had 7 games between 38-42 minutes.

Bryce played 30+ minutes 35 times. Fewest minutes played 24. He had 8 games between 38-42 minutes.

Most of us would even have to look up who the back up guards were that year. They played the majority of every game and we should have been National Champions.

And yes I know we don’t have those type quality of shooters but the point was minutes played creates confidence and steady production.

We need another Jared and Bryce. Those two totaled some minutes. Good memories.

THE RUNDOWN PRESENTED BY VOODOO WING COMPANY (2/20/24)
Bryan Matthews, Caleb Jones, Brian Stultz and Jay G. Tate reconvene at VooDoo Wing Company to discuss the important happenings in and around the Auburn program, which today centers largely on the hire of Vontrall King-Williams as defensive line coach.

He's been here, he's popular with players and Hugh Freeze trusts him? So why is The Bunker so skeptical of the guy? We dig into that curious phenomenon.

The guys also discuss "new" commit Hollis Davidson (we haven't done a show in a few weeks) and Mississippi wideout Caleb Cunningham scheduling another trip to the Plains.

Basketball? It's been up and down lately, but at least Jaylin Williams is going to be OK.

Baseball swept Eastern Kentucky to open the season. It now travels to Florida to play some top competition.

Softball is OK.

The show ends with a considerably supply of commendations and shoutouts for the most outstanding members (this week) from The Bunker community.

The show is presented by VooDoo Wing Company with locations in Auburn, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Florence, Charlotte and Las Vegas. Check them out IN PERSON for delicious chicken or on the web at www.voodoowingco.com.

Ok…the cry for female statues at AU 🤦🏻‍♂️

What world do we live in?! These folks on X have got to be the same people that think participation trophies should be a thing. That just because they didn’t make the all star team they should make a second all star team for the kids that aren’t as good. That the women’s national team should make the same amount as the men’s team because less people watch them. The WNBA players should be paid more because they are negative revenue teams but the players try hard. This can’t be a serious debate.
