Some updates on Auburn targets and commits three days ahead of early signing day.

Done deal to SMU

We're set to talk to BP as he previews Duke:

• "We get an opportunity to play one of the best teams in the country in one of the best environments in the country."
• Pearl said that Auburn and Duke both have the fact that they're a great team that plays in a tough environment in common
• "For Duke to be playing this well this early is a credit to their coaching staff."
• Pearl said that Duke runs good stuff that fits their personnel
• "The three ball is important to Duke and they shoot it better at home... it's really hard to find much of a weakness."
• Pearl called Duke the best team Auburn will have faced thus far
• "We relish the opportunity because it's Duke. It's Cameron Indoor Stadium... a year ago when we had the ACC/SEC challenge, Alabama got Clemson and we got Virginia Tech... my reward for raising attention to this subject is having to go to Duke." (He said this with a smile)

ours look like fat dudes maybe with too much estrogen. There’s look like big athletes. especially #57. We need to really evaluate nutrition and strength training that we did this season and do the exact opposite. Did the whole OL take the Percy Lewis preseason plan? With him getting away with what he got away with and still starting for a while you really have to question everything.

well saturday we watched our helpless tigers try in tuscaloosa. I guess the A&M win gave us false hopes similar to the kentucky win. I reckon being 49 now and AU being mediocre or worse for 25 out of the last 30 years i have become accustomed to sucking. Those good years though and especially the Dye years instilled a pretty good bit of care on my insides. Similarly to @murray_hitchock i seem to be resigned to who we are now and really don’t have faith in who the power players are right now. They aren’t dumb people by any stretch but they have massive blind spots as to what makes a program successful (even though they can’t see they have blind spots 😂😂😂😩😩😩). That’s what living in narcissistic bubbles does. Oh well there’s really nothing i can do about other than wish for better.

So saturday we have some good steaks and then settled in for the game. We got a key lime poundcake on the way home from the A&M game for dessert for the IB. As the game unfolded and the suck became the tigers once more and final time for the 2024 season, that pound cake became a comforting companion saturday evening for the feelings i thought no longer existed. Anywho that’s all.
