I know all these records and accomplishments have been said in every thread, but just going to state them again:
1) went to Houston (I guess neutral site) and beat a really good team
2) beat Iowa state (who I still think is awesome), UNC, and Memphis to win Maui
3) won 16 quad 1 games to date
4) won the first ever #1 vs #2 matchup in SEC history against our biggest rivals on their home court
5) won in Rupp for the first time since 88
7) won the best regular season conference in a long time (maybe forever) with a week to spare
8) literally only lost to the current 2nd and 3rd ranked teams in the country
I mean there’s so much more, but I love this team. We’re talented, smart, and really play a fun style to watch too. Honestly remember how much hype was going into that Alabama game? Feels like this one next week doesn’t matter at all because we clinched everything. At this point, I don’t see how we aren’t at least #2 overall even if we lost out. Duke is the only one that would hop us, and they’d take the east, leaving us Lexington and Atlanta. Florida might lose to Alabama next week, and we already won the SEC. We beat Houston head to head and we have a better resumé. Just have to hope we have a good draw (leave us the worst 8 and 9 seed).
