They are serious about this. There is a push across the country. LA county mayor is cutting the budget of the police department in the middle of riots.

That might be the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard. Robberies, assaults, rape, domestic and child abuse, arson... Leave it to the city council to go from one terrible idea to another.

I read yesterday that a town in Oregon is removing all resource officers from their schools and no police officers will be at school functions and sporting events.
Compton has police though. They disbanded the old police force but started a new one. They were the example in the article.
Part of me wants to see the city pillaged and burned to the ground, another part wants to see armed citizens and support meet them and litter the streets with brass casings. Either way, got my popcorn ready.

I can guarantee that a MAJOR majority of the Twin Cities want a police department. End the war on drugs, don’t end your police department.
