OVERALL:

tied at 7th with georgia. defense is strength of this team specifically run defense. tamu, mizzou, and kentucky lean on the run game so that is one advantage for us going forward at least

OFFENSE:

BY POSITION:

QB: 9th (slightly better than last year) // WR: 2 in top 30 (simmons + KLS) much improved // TE: 11th (massive dropoff) // OL: 1 in top 30 (connor lew) worse than last year

ABILITY TO MOVE THE BALL:

ABILITY TO SCORE POINTS + EXPLOSIVE PLAYS:

PLAYER USAGE:

QB: thornes efficiency is not bad usage might be too high for his production (higher than nico/ewers+manning/weigman+reed etc). overall middle of the pack. not elite not terrible

RB: jarquez a little less usage than top rbs but 4th best efficiency among the elite backs (tier = rb1. leveon moss/henry parrish/jaquinden jackson/dylan sampson). could be higher but probably not as much as people think. alston low usage + middle of the pack efficiency (tier = rb2 sec. backups)

WR: KLS historic season. best wr in the league for efficiency + usage( tier wr1= ryan williams/isaiah bond). should be getting more targets. cam has pretty good efficiency for low usage. has potential (tier wr2= matthew golden/mazeo bennett/quincy skinner). malcolm middle of the pack (tier=wr3 chris brazzell/squirrel white/noah thomas/mookie cooper_.

TE: rivaldo middle of the pack with top 5 usage. not great, needs less targets

IMO: thorne and rivaldo need less touches. jarquez + kls need more.

compared to other SEC schools, qb usage 63% is too high. based on our strenghts. should be closer to 45-50%

DEFENSE:

BY POSITION:

DL: 3 in top 30 (keldric/jayson jones/mcleod) improved from last year // LB: 1 in top 30 (keys) worse // DBs: 2 in top 30 (kaleb harris, kayin lee) worse than last year

GETTING STOPS:

SCORING DEFENSE:

TLDR:

overall roster is worse than last year outside of wr and dline

average middle of the road team in offense/defense but cant score

upcoming matchups: mizzou (cant score/good rush defense) kentucky (bad offense/bad rush defense) tamu (bad offense/bad rush defense) are still in the WINNABLE/LOSABLE range but we cant shoot ourselves in the foot
