* Says the blocked punt was "huge."

* Second half? Defense holding A&M on 4th-and-2. "I was very proud of our team for doing that."

* Said Mike Horton and Darius James "just couldn't do it" today.

* On the good second half: "We had some explosive games in the pass game."

* On busting A&M deep: "Chip really wanted to throw down the field. He felt like we could go by 'em."

* On Kerryon's second half: "He just feels that the special players — they feel it when the game is on the line. He willed hisself. He was breaking tackles, running over people."

* On the TD at the end of the first half, calling a timeout before the punt block. "We put some different personnel out there. We felt like it was a great opportunity to do that. That was a huge play in the game. It changed the whole momentum of the game."

* On Derrick Brown: "He did a great job. I think our whole defensive line did a good job."

* On Marquel Harrell and Prince Tega playing: "When he got in there, we started rollin'. It says a lot about Coach Hand and it says a lot about our depth."

* Malzahn thinks the OL changes were messing with Stidham's head early.
