This team was led by a true freshman. A killer emerged tonight. I really feel for any Auburn fan that didn't get to watch that live. What an amazing performance by both teams.

Sometimes oddball shit makes a difference. Jahki and Ja'Heim being out probably encouraged BP to go against his MO and LEAVE THE BALLERS IN THE ENTIRE SECOND HALF.

Just look at the result.

We gave up 2 open look 3s to Houston all night. Both were nailed.

Houston didn't really run much offense. Lots of individual creating, midrange shots, the kind most miss. UH didn't miss them, nor did they miss FT.

As physical as that game was, the refs balanced it out in the 2nd half. I was impressed with that. I expected us to get totally f'd over.

Pegues quite obviously wasn't used to that level of ball pressure and he kind of froze up. Haad, being a freshman, didn't know not to ball teh fook out of his brain and be timid. He caught Houston off-guard with his quickness. They didn't put a hand in his face until about 5 min to go. Other teams will watch that film and learn. Against other opponents, that'll mean the guards getting a ton of clean looks. A versatile PG is worth his weight in gold. Ask Mark Sears.

I'm just jazzed as heck. I'd have only been slightly less jazzed if we had lost. That was a heavyweight bout. Neither team backed down.

I love this for Bruce. You could tell he really, REALLY wanted this, no matter what he said. But you also note that Coach Sampson shook Bruce's hand and didn't complain about the loss. Respect earned and respect given.

We would have missed JH exactly once...that oop to CMo would have been JH and he wouldn't have missed it, would have rattled teeth all along the baseline with that one.

WDE onward and upward.
