Kendall Veach drove in four runs and Courtney Shea's two-run homer accounted for the rest as Auburn cruised to a 6-0 victory Thursday night.

The Tigers now have won nine consecutive games.

Junior Kaylee Carlson earned the win, her sixth of the season, by pitching three scoreless innings. Sophomore Makayla Martin worked the final four innings and earned her first save of the season.

Auburn led 1-0 though two innings, but blew things open in the third. That's when Veach's double allowed three runs to score. Two batters later, Shea second home run of the season bumped Auburn's lead to 6-0.

The No. 2 Tigers (10-1) open the Tiger Invitational on Friday afternoon against UMass-Lowell. That game begins at 3:30 CST.
