SOFTBALL COLUMN: Dean changed Auburn's course for the better (3-26-24)

Mickey Dean will be leaving at season's end. His time here has come and gone, sure, but he absolutely was the right guy at the right time when hired in September 2017. He got Auburn away from the Myers mess and into much calmer waters.

Was he perfect? Far from it. Still, he's been credible and the next coach will be in a better situation because of Dean.
