on the “new” logo. He is not a fan of of auburn or any SEC school for that matter and I asked him his unbiased opinion on the update from a purely design perspective. Here’s what he said...
“Looks a little wide but I like that the slab serifs are now all the same size and uniform. I also think it makes sense for them to remove the holes like they did for modern applications and digital. It’s cleaner but not too different to really piss people off, or worse, to have to reintroduce a brand. Not bad as far as transitions / upgrades / modernizations go.”
I tend to agree with him and I’m trying not to get worked up over something so small that will translate better in a digital world. I do think he’s wrong about the “piss people off” part though.
