Real talk this is my biggest revelation from this thread. I had no idea they were making new ones. I guess every time I've watched cops the past few years they were showing episodes from the 90s? In any event, RIP COPS. Now we'll never know what the bad boys are going to do.

Live PD is fantastic and is the highest rated show on cable TV, I believe. It shows you what cops have to deal with on a daily basis. I think it’s actually helpful.

I've never seen an episode that "glorifies" police work or those who do it. Not once in lo these many years.

Agree with you Archie. The worst part of this whole issue is that after all this remaking/removing of history nothing will really change that addresses the significant issues.

The world building on COPS was top notch. My only complaint is they focused on "criminal of the week" episodes toward the end moreso than canonical, lore-based storytelling. 7/10

Look, I'm not going to try to convince anyone of anything, but if you can listen to the podcast and still be like, "Oh yeah, Cops and Live PD are totally cool and not absolutely horrible at all," then I'll be surprised.
