there are people here who decry the team aspect pf american discourse these days

. they are wrong to do so. you cannot support any party or its supporters who willingly allow this.
This person should have no rights and should be tried and executed if found guilty. its black and white, the dem party can no more be accepted than the nazi party or hamas

Fun quotes here

From Joseph Goodman, since many of us won’tclickal.com. One is on the nature of the game, and another is how Auburn distinguished itself and recruiting CBM.

Physical? This game was three yards and a cloud of dust on Jefferson Pilot. It was Auburn 3, Mississippi State 2 on parquet. It was drunken boxing with a side of basketball and Baker-Mazara was right smack dab in the middle of it all.

“I seen how they interacted with my mother when I went to my visit,” Baker-Mazara said. “My momma doesn’t really speak English. She kind of understands it if you talk slowly, but I seen them with their phone, talking to Siri, trying to translate stuff to Spanish the whole three days we were there.

“That really touched my heart because most schools that I went to, they were just, ‘Oh, hi mom,’ but kept her to the side. But my momma, that’s like my heart and soul, so seeing that little thing that they were trying to do just to make her feel comfortable, and make her feel at home, that just, like, broke my heart and I was like, OK, these guys, they’re going to take care of me. Just little things, they really mean a lot, at least to me.”

The Quad system is flawed and here’s why (3/17 UPDATE)

We played NET #48 USC and got a win. But we beat them too badly and it dropped them from 48 to 52. To 50 NET wins on a neutral are Q1. So we are still at 1-7 in Q1.

Alabama got their ass beat by Florida. Florida went into the night 35th in the NET, but because they beat Alabama so bad they’re now 28. So Alabama’s home win over them became a Q1. Alabama netted a Q1 win with a loss, but if they had won they would’ve only gotten a Q2.

Maybe we can benefit from something like this, right? Mississippi St. crushed UT and got a big bumped in the NET to 32. So it’s a Q1 game for us today. That’s good. But we won’t be able to pick up an extra Q1 win by virtue of them moving into the top 30 because they won’t move in with a loss. I guess the only positive is if they beat us, they’ll move into the top 30 and we pick up a Q1 no matter what. But it’s kind of BS.

I get the point of the Quad system, but the fact is that it’s really flawed and kind of screwing us this year. I really hope the committee doesn’t look at it too strictly, or over-apply its value. Otherwise some poor 1 seed is going to see KenPom #4 Auburn as the 4 seed in its bracket and that’s not really fair for the 1 seed.

UPDATE: As of this morning, 3/17, Miss St is 31 in the NET and USC is 51. Each is one spot away from giving us two more Q1 wins. If we win today and those were Q1, we would be 5-7 in Q1 and 8-0 in Q2, 4 in KenPom, 5 in the NET. Those numbers are easily good enough for a 3 seed, and probably competitive for a 2 seed. But because two teams are one spot out do Q1 we may be locked in at a 4. It makes absolutely no sense.

Hope Lunardi is correct on his latest update with us the #9 overall seed...

Don't want to get my hopes up as the conference tournaments have been meaningless in the past. Our NET, KP and other metrics are so good that having us as the #9 overall seed would make sense as it would split the difference between our analytics (4 KP, 4 BPI, 6 NET) and our resume rating which is in the 12 the now per ESPN's SOR metric.

Fantasy Baseball - Keeper question

I can keep 4 guys, and I've already picked 3.

It's a 22 round draft and below is the rounds I can draft them in.

The three I know I'm keeping:
Acuna - 5th round
Tatis Jr - 10th round
Corbin Carroll - 13th round

Final spot:
Bryce Harper - 8th round
Alonso - 12th round

I'm leaning Harper over Alonso, but those 4 extra rounds are making me 2nd guess myself.

I do have 4 outside the box potential keepers, but not sure I can justify keeping over Alonso or Harper

CJ Abrams - 15th round
Royce Lewis - 15th round
Edwin Diaz - 15th round
Jackson Chourio - 15th round

Who would you pick as final keeper?
