OT: Prayer request for a friend

I have a buddy going through a tough time. I would appreciate offering any prayers or good thoughts you have for him. We all go through trials and life never goes smoothly, but sometimes it feels like everything is piling on top of you, and it can be hard to see the other side. I know we can all relatw to an extent, so shoot up a prayer to the Big Man, or the deity or ideal of your choosing.

Thanks yall!

HOOPS JAY G's TRANSFER PORTAL LIST

This is a collection of players with whom Auburn has spoken during this Transfer Portal Window.

This is not going to be an exhaustive collection. I will not get every name. I will miss some names.

Do not consider this a fully comprehensive list. There is no fully comprehensive list that isn't on a coach's computer.

*******
F DJ Burns from Youngstown State. One of the nation's top rebounders. Synergy Sports rates him "excellent" on offense, "below average" on defense. He's an active scorer; finishes at the rim on PR/Rollers, stick-backs, cuts, post-ups. Not a traditional spot-up shooter by any means. Didn't have great transition numbers last season, but was better in that manner at Murray State. Would play the 4 here.

PG Myles Rice from Washington State. Played HS ball with Jabari Smith. Missed two years due to leukemia treatment, but had a terrific redshirt freshman season in 2023-24.

THE RUNDOWN PRESENTED BY VOODOO WING COMPANY (4/2/24)
Bryan Matthews, Caleb Jones, Brian Stultz and Jay G. Tate reconvene at VooDoo to discuss important happenings in and around the Auburn program, which at this stage includes a spring football crescendo.

There are only a few days left before A-Day! What have we learned? And which players have made the biggest impact so far? Lettuce discuss.

The Guys then move on to football recruiting, which is going well with dozens of four- and five-star recruits having visited lately or planning to visit for A-Day.

Basketball? KD Johnson is out. Bruce Pearl held an interesting press conference to defend himself and his players from criticsm after the Yale loss. Is that warranted? Who is actually mad at Bruce?

Bryan then talks baseball, which is 1-8 in league play yet is not a bad team at all. Softball? Hmm. They're 3-9 in league play, but they may actually be bad. Mickey Dean is on his way out, though, so that's interesting.

The show ends with a tightly curated array of commendations and shoutouts for the most outstanding members (this week) from The Bunker community. Great folks and a great community!

The show is presented by VooDoo Wing Company with locations in Auburn, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Florence, Charlotte and Las Vegas. Check them out IN PERSON for delicious chicken or on the web at www.voodoowingco.com.

The time is coming and has now come...

when the Republican Party base as we know it should be buried in the ash heap of history. Change in the GOP is inevitable if we are to have a legitimate opposition party in America and a legitimate political conversation in the future. Otherwise, the democrats will run this country with unilateral power, and that will not be a good thing. For the GOP it's change or be displaced. The Trump candidacy has been a total joke and the GOP may never recover. This election today will be a landslide, a blood bath. Don't believe the media hype about close polls. They just want you tuning in to their channel today.

With that said, Trump supporters are right - America has moved on and left them behind. Their voices are indeed not being heard. But it's not because of who they are, it is because of what those voices are saying. Listen to what they are saying and ask yourself this - does anyone really care? Is this really the conversation we want to have? The democrats are playing chess while the GOP is playing checkers.

Today will be a victory for the liberal world view and the American liberal vision of life. It is indeed great that the glass ceiling has been broken and women and girls across this country (and the world) can finally see someone like them in power. However, we are looking at eight years of Hillary and sixteen straight years of democratic rule. Why? Because the GOP chose to have the wrong conversation, again and again. They chose to make this election about childish antics, school yard name calling, building walls, mocking disabled reporters, and grabbing pussies. Oh, they didn't choose that you say? What did they think Trump was going to to do? They traded this election for a few locker room high fives. Great move. You had a chance to elect a decent and good man in Mitt Romney, but wouldn't turn out to vote. But now voters are inspired by Trump? Ask yourself what that says, because it speaks volumes.

America needs a party that will function as a legitimate opposition party to the one in power. The GOP has dropped the ball and no third party is remotely ready to pick it up. The GOP has eight years to fix this. Will they? Unlikely, IMO.

FDA agrees to remove all of the misleading information attacking Ivermectin

It's so super sad what happened back during the pandemic, and it's sad that so many gullible people were taken in and either couldn't see the massive wave of dishonesty, propaganda and Orwellian censorship, or they just didn't care.

This is just another one of the proofs that there was indeed a ton of collusion and behind the scenes agreement to deceive and manipulate the masses.

FOOTBALL Practice notes (4-2-24)

We were able to watch more than an hour of practice today. Here are some quick notes:

OFFENSE

First Team

Thorne, Jarquez, Fairweather, Deal, Percy Lewis (LT), Dillon Wade (LG), Connor Lew (C), Jeremiah Wright (RG), Too Tall Miller (RT), Cam Coleman, Robert Lewis. Sam Jackson also subbed in at receiver and Hank Brown at QB.

Second Team

Mix of Walker White and Holden Geriner, Jeremiah Cobb (Brian Battle would sub in), Jay Fair, Bryce Cain, Caleb Burton, Brandon Frazier (Rico Walker subbed in), Tyler Johnson (LT), Dylan Senda (LG), Tate Johnson (C), EJ Harris (RG), Seth Wilfred (RT)

- Damari Alston had a good run on the outside where he broke free
- Holden did a good job of picking up the blitz from Champ and got it out in time to hit Burton
- Holden threw a deep ball and it was intercepted by JC Hart.
- Sam Jackson ran a wheel route and Hank Brown's pass to him was picked by Jerrin Thompson
- Bryce Cain make a beautiful over-the-shoulder catch on the sideline
- Running backs spent time working on reading gaps.
- Cam Coleman was matching up with Kayin Lee a lot.
- During 7-on-7, Thorne hit a wide-open Coleman for a TD.

During 11-on-11

Hank hit Burton down the middle. He tried to find Fair on the next pass but he was double-teamed. He then hit fair on a slant route the next play.
Jarquez hit the edge for a big run. Next play, broke a tackle and ran it for 20 yards.
Robert Lewis committed a false start.
Jeremiah Wright and Amaris Williams got into a bit of a shoving match.
Jarquez picked up a corner blitz to give Holden enough time to get the ball out.

DEFENSE

1st Team

Kayin Lee, Champ Anthony, Keldric Faulk, Dorian Mausi, Jayson Jones, Trill Carter, Caleb Wooden, Eugene Asante, Jerrin Thompson, Keionte Scott, Austin Keys

- Colton Hood had a nice one-handed interception

Neville

The complaint mentions widely reported vacations Biden and his family took between 2021-2023 at mansions owned by Democratic Party donor Maria Allwin, billionaire David Rubenstein, and business owners Bill and Connie Neville. The Center for Renewing America argues these free stays should have been reported as "gifts" in the president's financial disclosures but were not, in violation of the law.

Harper vs Aden first year stats comparison (with Tre)

I was curious so just pulled them.

Aden - 20 mins a game, 31.8 fg%, 30.2 3pt%, 7.3 pts a game, 2.7 asst, 0.9 TO, 77.4 FT%

Harper- 24 mins a game, 38% fg%, 34 3pt%, 11.4 pts a game, 3 assts, 49 TO (%not given), 70.5% FT%

Year 2 Harper avg 30 mins a game and the percentages stayed the same. He did avg more assists (5.4) and more pts (13.2) in year 2.

Tre’s stood out to me (this is year 2)
19.2 mins, 47.1 fg%, 41.2 3pt %, 3.2 asst, 1.3 TO, 6.6 pts a game

Pulled from ESPN so most likely not accurate.
