It shows that despite him sounding dumb most of the time and being off the wall, the Democrats royally F'ed up the last four years on strengthening their base.

Hugh Freeze spoke on the SEC teleconference. Here's a summary...

** Didn't execute in crucial situations against Vandy. Defense played well. Don't agree with all the calls buy have to get better.

** On the QB situation and potentially starting Hank Brown: Payton has played pretty solid. It's a quandary debating the future vs. putting the best player out there for now. Looking at all possibilities this week.

** Practiced Monday and gave team off Tuesday for election day and academics. Will have two physical practices Wednesday and Thursday.

** Caleb Burton III was in concussion protocol. He will be back in a non-contact jersey Wednesday.

** Expects rosters to still be at 85 for next year. Thinks they should have been able to go up to 90-95. It's tough to know what roster will look like after the portal opens. It's tough to know how many to sign when you don't know how many you could potentially lose. Difficult to manage roster.

he honestly is around as good as Greg Mcelroy but without the OL and other more experienced/talented support. I think he could have done well at Auburn with better circumstances. He is a game manager that had an easy time with Alabama A&M and then coaches took that fools gold to mean he was ready to be the guy. It seems like we had the same game plan against Cal and the season spiraled early on. When his eligibility is up i won’t be sad, but i will remember him well for coming to AU in a bad situation willing to help.
