Blueprint for a Loss

We've played enough now to see what causes us to struggle or play less efficiently. First, you have to pressure Denver at half court and be physical with him. Then you have to have a big, athletic four who can stay with Chaney to keep him from scoring. Third, the other team must play good, aggressive defense so that we miss most of our shots right at the rim. Then have the refs call a terrible game. But, we've got Pettiford and there isn't anyone in the country that can stay in front of him. He is just going to get better. Add in the fact that we've got Broome coming back to dominate inside and that bodes well for us. This boils down to our defense. If we play aggressive defense without fouling, we should win. bama, KY, and FL all try to just out score everyone with high powered offense and little defense. If we play hard on defense, I like our chances in March.

I remember Payton Manning got lit up one play

because he faked a hand off to the RB. If you're faking the ball, you're a potential runner and thus not a defenseless player. Or at least that's how I thought it worked. This was of course years ago.

Very similar play just got a personal foul on Daniels. Although maybe they just didn't like the helmet contact? I'm not 100% sure. But Daniels faked the handoff to draw the edge player. It's only fair the edge player can play him like he's a runner.
