We could overcome the deficiency at the 2guard if we had an elite playmaker at the 1. I love Wendell and he can do some good things but he’s not a 30 minute plus guy at this level.
For one he’s not looking to dish when he gets in the paint. With bigger guards defending he can’t get clean shots off on the perimeter. He dribbles too much with no purpose and therefore there is no flow to the halfcourt offense by the time he wastes 15-20 seconds.
We actually got up 6 tonight with Tre in the game. Within minutes of Wendell coming back in we were down 2. Tough night for Wendell.
