Far less significant than what our 1972 men's Olympic basketball team endured in the greatest screw job in sports history, but similar in officiating incompetence or bias.

Kelly is hacked causing the turnover on the inbounds play. Fortunately they miss the 3 and then comes the worst part of this officiating debacle. Bunker favorite Pat Adams calls a phantom foul on Denver going for the rebound. There's no foul there at all and Pat decides to put .6 on the clock. Absolutely horrible officiating there.

When they miss the second one and we drop the rebound out of bounds they go to the review. Here's where I have another major problem. I've slowed it down and the clock doesn't start until the ball is a few feet from hitting the ground OB. If they're going to use replay in these situations it should also be used to accurately start the clock on the touch. If it's done this way the game ends there. It takes over half a second for the touch and ball landing OB.

Finally, Cardwell is shoved by Newell on the inbounds play. Miraculously no call there as the official is staring right at it (Not Adams on this play). Cyril also manhandles Cardwell on the made free throw before the miss. No call.

Anyway, glad we survived this mess and got another quality road win. WDE
