i've been thinking about the rioting a good bit this morning...it's such a fine line to me between protesting and rioting but i can see where people get to the point they feel like just protesting isn't enough.

but outright stealing and terrorizing people in their homes is too far. people were having to stand outside their homes with hoses last night to keep fire from spreading. i saw one guy interviewed who had to run out the back of his building b/c there were people shooting at the building to get into the first floor business...didn't know if his home was about to be on fire

Just appeared like he thought what he was doing was holding him down but not lethal.

I say he was just stupid and maybe trying to look good in front of his buddies.

I say for stupidity he get 20+ years with no parole.

Thankfully this Administration brought back the Federal Death Penalty. Therefore in states like Minnesota who do not have the death penalty and are weak on violent crime, he can be tried in the Federal system and get the Death Penalty he would deserve if found guilty in a court of law of murder. Only caveat - The Trump Administration was set to execute a white supremacist in December 2019 and has been stopped by court cases and appeals from the bleeding heart crowd over the death penalty. We need to get tougher on violent crime. We are a bunch of bad asses on petty crimes and drug crimes, but we cry like a kid with a thumb in our mouth when it comes to punishing violent criminals. We are very weak.

Thare is definitely sum assholes. I got arrezzted in Belle Meade (Nashville) back in 1984 and the COP wuz the biggezt DICK in the werld.

Every situation is different. I’m glad the FBI is investigating instead of just an internal investigation, which is also happening.
Some personalities never needed to be cops in the first place. You fire them, hand them over to the justice system and let a jury of their peers sort it out.
The family will get money and this cop will go to jail, and none of that will bring this man back to his family. The whole thing was just so sad and unnecessary.

I think this will fit between murder 2 and 3 if I understand MN laws. That probably means manslaughter type conviction, not wanting to kill someone but criminal negligence caused the death. As for the no anger, that bothers me more. He looks like he is just calmly saying "you did not peaceably get in the car," so now I am going to show you what it is to be helpless.
