What is it like to play on the road, logistically and emotionally?

Say we have a road game in Baton Rouge. Do we drive the players there by bus on Thursday or Friday? Or do we charter a plane the day of the game or the night before?

Are visitors locker rooms really that bad? What are some snags teams hit when they go on the road?
