But with much shittier brand and name recognition, less championships, and the coach our fanbase is going to try and make a lame duck is actually really good at his job and is the first person since Dye to create alignment at Auburn. Why would we give a shit about being in the hunt for the #1 overall recruiting class for the first time in program history when we can bitch and complain about losing to a good Cal team by one score? Can’t believe he decided to spend money on a foundational hs recruiting class instead of dropping off a $1.5 million bag on the doorstep of some washed up retread porthole QB.
Yeah Hugh’s done everything we’ve ever claimed we wanted a coach to do here and then some but we can’t be bothered to wait around on him to rebuild our roster into something that can consistently compete for championships for the second time in program history. Anybody know how many back-to-back 10 win seasons Auburn has on the record books? Probably a lot because we are a really important CFB program and not at all a one hit wonder factory that hasn’t had a winning season since 2019.

I wonder if Texas fans and media put Sark on the hot seat after a mediocre 2022 season or if UGA fans openly questioned Kirby’s competence after he ran off Justin Fields in favor of Jake Fromm. Probably not, they just don’t hold their program to the same standards that we do around here.
