Donald Trump decided to attack Thomas Massie for taking his normal principal stand on spending. I don’t think that Trump understood that kind of support that Thomas Massie has. I bet he’s been surprised at all the blowback.
Hopefully this is a further signal to libertarians that Donald Trump is not a libertarian, nor even libertarian leading. There’s exactly one person in Congress who is legitimately libertarian, and it is Thomas Massie. He is also basically the only person in DC who is not received money from Israel.
But folks have tried to primary Massie before and he has survived. He will be fine. His constituents know who he is and will keep supporting him.
