Pearl has ever had.

We knew going in once it was clear what we were capable of that Pearl's biggest challenges wouldn't be getting the schedule to fall right, finding consistent shooters, finding consistent play off the bench ... not even having "true" point guard play. This team has eclipsed such pedestrian concerns through sheer ability.

No...this team's problems are ALL between the ears. Ego and malaise are their limiting factors, and Bruce is doing all he can to limit the impact of those things. He's mostly successful but as a fan, we all sit there and live for those minutes when the team plays to their potential, that game that is simultaneously hyperfluid and beautiful and inevitable like a rolling ball of butcher knives. When we turn up the intensity on both sides of the ball there isn't a team in the country that can match us.

Problem is we only get that intensity maybe 5-10 min a game. We need more. That's why we enter eyeroll territory at times. We all know - Bruce knows, the players know, the fans know, that Auburn can flip into flex mode and dominate anyone we play, but sometimes finding the on switch is the problem.

Not going to add anything about tonight except that we should have kicked the ever-loving shit out of that team.

I am happy with the result and I'm especially geeked for Denver and Chaney to really explode on the court, just shows how versatile we are.

I've watched enough Auburn-Bama hoops games to have a feel for things.

This game is going to be our toughest mental challenge to date, because Bama at some point in the first half, maybe out of the gate, maybe 5 min in, is going to go on an absolute impossible heater that we can't prevent. They're going to go up by double digits, 14-17 points, and look unbeatable. It will be incumbent on our guys not to try to run with them, not to try to score with them, but to keep on playing our game and refuse to give in to their pace even if we're struggling to score. Our chances will come. What goes up will come down and Bama will come down...they always do...we just have to be ready to jump on them with both feet when they do and not let them up.

We've not shown our own physicality nearly enough the last couple of games. We have GOT to dominate the boards. The last two games we've been a bit lax there. We can't afford to get pushed around vs Bama; it's how they win. Gotta dominate. Can't be afraid to foul but have to hope the quick whistle isn't there. If that game is called like the one tonight it will greatly favor us. IF we can hold our own on the boards I like our chances.

Our dudes thrive in adversity...I think CBM or Haad said they kind of actually love to play on the road because they feed off of the hate.

Bams aren't real hoops fans. We can make them sit on their hands if we just keep on grinding and don't get frustrated.

All hands on deck. Everyone has to contribute. Could be a monumental victory for the Tigers. WDE
