Consider the following:

- It's an open scrimmage. The coaches aren't gonna show anything other than base plays on offense. You think other teams didn't have people in the stands watching?
- It's a cliché because it's true: the defense KNOWS what the play is gonna be about 85% of the time. No chance to beat that.
- We clearly were working on basic pass routes and timing. No intent on using the running game to keep the defense honest.
- Many of our best playmakers didn't really play a lot.
- Defense is all about effort and GATA. Offense takes a LOT of planning to work. You have to set the D up with varied play calling. Change plays due to defensive sets. The offense did not 'scheme' to beat the defense. Just ran basic plays in a random fashion, against whatever defensive set they were in.
- Very hard for the QB to get into any kind of flow with all the substitutions. Same with the OL.
- "IF" the offense had run up and down on the defense, we would be effed for the season. Defense should ALWAYS win the day in this kind of situation. On top of that, our D is pretty damn good.

Now, carry on with your bitching and whining.
