If any major event is happening in the world it will be on Twitter before it is on TV. During the Bin Laden raid, his next door neighbor was reporting on the helicopters coming in.
When the guy in Seattle stole an airliner his conversation with the control tower was a live feed. Here it is. Listen here. I listened to this for at least 20 minutes before it was on TV.
