FEMA and the National Guard showed up today. Our communities have been struggling. The storm destroyed the infrastructure to our county so we have no power, water, or phone service. Even the 911 service was destroyed. The police have no communications. I've seen families bathing in the river and getting 5 gallon buckets of water from the river just so they would have water. My commercial freezers were thawing so I gave away over 500 lbs of food. Many of the people I tried to give the food to couldn't use it because they had no way to cook it. Our power back ups on our alarm systems have run out so we have no security systems. The thieves know this and one of the stores got robbed last night. We are one of 6 pharmacies that have been robbed in Central GA since Saturday. We are giving out medications at no charge using a generator for lights and people are still stealing from us. Maybe things will be better soon with FEMA here.
