So recapping yesterday’s games
As you may have heard the Auburn Tigers will host their first ever Super Regional. The Tigers will face #13 seed Coastal Carolina at Plainsman Park.
Number 1 seed Vanderbilt fell to Wright State ending their season. Louisville then defeated Wright State to win the Nashville regional and are awaiting the winner of the Hattiesburg regional where #16 Southern Miss has a winner take all game against the U.
In the Austin Regional #2 Texas was bounced by UTSA, a team they played 3 times (once in the regular season and twice in the regional) and went 0-3 against. UTSA will face the winner of the Los Angeles region which was UCLA. That’s the all Caps region obviously.
Also moving on was #3 seed Arkansas. Arkansas is the highest ranked SEC school still in the tournament having won the Fayetteville regional.
Arkansas awaits the winner of the Knoxville regional where ut plays a winner take all game against Wake Forest. I do believe that was ut’s first regional loss at home under that asshat vitello.
In the Chapel Hill regional #5 UNC was punked by Oklahoma setting up a winner take all game today. The winner will face the Arizona Wildcats. Arizona won the Eugene Regional.
Overall #6 seed lsu was stunned by 25-33 UALR in the Baton Rouge regional last night. They meet again today for the chance to advance. The winner will take on West Virginia who won the Clemson regional.
In the Athens regional we all cheered and applauded Oklahoma St as they knocked the nasty ass bulldogs out of the tournament. OkSt couldn’t hold that momentum and lost to Duke sending the Blue Devils to the Super Regional against the winner of the Oxford, Ms regional which will be decided today when om plays Murray St for the region championship.
Super Regionals start Friday and go through Monday if necessary. The 8 winners will then proceed to the CWS which begins on June 13 and ends no later than June 23.
