All wins are good wins and road wins are great wins! Our fan base (and maybe players too) take this for granted. We lost the centerpiece of what we do today and still found a way so have to be happy with that.

First half defensive effort was bullshit and we gave up 40. After what I assume was a halt time ass chewing, we held them to 23 in the second half. We will need that effort from here on out if we're going to make it to San Antonio. I've been complimentary of the two post lineup because it's been effective offensively, but it has defensive issues. Just because Johni can guard the 4 a little bit, doesn't mean he should. He's elite at the rim and pretty average when he gets moved around.

Johni looks to have a high ankle sprain and that means 2-4 weeks. If he's sprained that one before, it could be on the lower end of that spectrum. Our offensive identity is going to have to adjust until he's back. Everything we do is predicated on getting Broome high value touches and what comes off of those touches. I think we shift more to the ball screen/lob stuff with Cardwell and see less of the flex action. Also think thar Tahaad needs to play more and look to create more kickouts. He has a tendency to over penetrate, but we're going to need him go get shots for Kelly, CBM, and Denver.

I believe winning three of the next four is manageable, but it will be tough. A&M is sitting their best player tonight in a huge game because they need him healthy in the long run. I hope we do that with Broome and I hope it helps us develop other pieces in the meantime. Nothing is ever easy...
