if you look back at Chizik's last year the real cause of our meltdown was his attempt to take the offense in a different direction. We didn't have the players to do what he wanted to do and the result was disaster. We had solid players from multiple top 10 classes but they were recruited for Gus's system and didn't fit with the new direction. For the Fire Gus now crowd, what makes you think 2017 won't be another 2012 if we go a different direction?
For what it's worth, we have had two very disappointing losses to teams currently in the top 10. It sucks but what did you expect when we are essentially playing a 3rd string QB and a 4th string tail back? This offense needed time to find their identity but the schedule was too brutal too early. This season is not over, we can still have a good year if the team doesn't give up as quickly as the Bunker.
