Correlation between heat and bites. Oddly, the last 2 summers ('22 and '23) have seemed mild in SC (imo). We've had hot days but not like a decade ago. 2012 had a day with 113 degrees.

Nice 3 minute video from the Today Show in Congaree National Park. The reporters husband got bit by a Copperhead the night before their wedding.
