He said something that kinda struck me hard this morning.

He said one of the things that make him furious is when he hears someone say that a player is a scrub or no good, or when people can’t tell you a players name.

His reasoning was this: that player could walk into any YMCA or Rec center and be the best athlete you’ve ever seen. Just because they don’t play or they aren’t successful doesn’t mean they don’t have value to a TEAM.

It makes me think about people like Troxell and Brahms, Council and Finley. They bust their ass for this team and deserve respect and credit for working as hard as they do. It made me reconsider the things that are said about all players and want to be better about the words I use to describe their performance.

If you ever get to listen to Reggie I highly recommend listening. Excellent motivational speaker and genuine individual.
