I can't imagine how long this will take to rebuild, especially if it erodes any further. Even if they can use the westbound lanes and make it one lane each way, this will severely hinder emergency relief efforts in the area. @AuburnProud please advise.
More concerning is the failure of the Waterville dam, which could potentially wipe out the town of Newport, TN. This tweet shows the water level before the dam broke, the surge hasn't reached the town yet, but it is going to get incredibly ugly in another hour or two.
