Here's what I got from several onlookers and interviews...

** QB's were live and all got close to equal reps with 1's, 2's and 3's. Malik Willis had a long TD run down left sidelines. Bo Nix led the team on a couple of TD drives, throwing a TD to Marquis McClain late in the scrimmage. Joey Gatewood ran the ball well and threw relatively well, but did have an interception on a tipped ball of McClain's outstretched hands. Cord Sandberg threw a short TD pass to walk-on WR Jackson McFadden.

** Most folks I talk to that observe practice or are close to the program strongly believe Bo Nix and Joey Gatewood have been the best QB's this spring. Most of those give Nix a slight edge because of his passing ability.

** The pace of the offense was as fast as its been in the last five years. Very noticeable.

** JaTarvious Whitlow had a very good scrimmage. Scored a couple of touchdowns, looked quick than last year and bounced off/broke a number of tackles. D.J. Williams and Harold Joiner also ran the ball well.

** The offensive line was creating space in the running game and doing a pretty good job of protecting the QB's. Mike Horton is most improved of the starting group.

** Alec Jackson was getting after it and did pretty well in his first scrimmage as an OL. Played physical.

** Tyler Fromm had a long catch over the middle, breaking some tackles.

** Noah Igbinoghene had an interception. Roger McCreary and Christian Tutt both player well at CB with some PBU's.

** Zakoby McClain is a missile on defense. K.J. Britt very physical, Chandler Wooten and Michael Harris working behind him at Mike. Owen Pappoe worked in some with the 1st team at OLB.

** Javaris Davis, Christian Tutt and Eli Stove all shagged punts.
