Why do we care what George Clooney thinks about this election?
I’m just pretty disgusted that celebrities and big CEOs and hedge fund managers have basically told us who we can pick from for president. Poll after poll have shown that the majority of Americans don’t want Trump or Biden to be the nominees, but the system has been rigged so that the ones getting the most money donated are the ones who advance and are the ones propped up by the media while lesser known candidates are thrown scraps or outright ignored.
I don’t know what could be done to curb the influence of big donors in political campaigns, but something needs to change.
