• "It's a big game for both clubs."

• Notes that Ole Miss won at Alabama — the only SEC team to win there.

• Notes that Ole Miss doesn't turn the ball over much.

• "Today has got to be our work day. It's hard to have a work day after you play a game against LSU. We have to expense a ton of energy. Tomorrow, we won't do hardly anything but travel. We'll be fine. It's just a lot in a short period of time."

• "My point to the team is ... while I was pleased with a workman-like effort ... we have to play better in certain areas or we're going to lose and it'll be of our own doing." (He says he doesn't mind getting beat when the opponent plays really well.)

• He loves how Johni Broome can do so many different thing to help a team win.

• "I want our guys to take advantage of the shots they're getting because they're playing with other good players."

• "Nobody is going to play (Broome) 1-on-1 in the post."

• On struggles at Ole Miss lately: "They've got dudes," he says. Pearl them credits the Ole Miss' NIL efforts. "The league and these programs are invested."

• He says he doesn't know Auburn's schedule past the Florida game. (That's nine days away.)

• "The think I like about Turtle is that he's in there working as hard as ... any of our starters. He is working like a starter."
