Quick Game Thoughts

HUUUGGGGEEEEE W. Massive for recruiting and just for the trajectory of the season in general.

Offense

That is the Bo Nix that all of us wanted to see. Never seen him look so comfortable. The one mistake was a jump ball on third and long that acted as a punt. Think that was a calculated move. Delivered a great ball to Robertson for the TD after a quick change TO. Stepped up and got hit as he was throwing too. Beautiful.
Concerning that we still can't run the ball. OL didn't open up many lanes to do much with
As bad as the OL was in the run game they were outstanding in pass pro. Not sure Nix barely got touched today. Could tell Bo was much less spazzy in the pocket due to his trust in what the OL was doing in pass pro.
Look what happens when the WRs catch the ball. If they catch the ball last week Bo would've had 2 great games in a row. Glad to see Bo go into the bye with some confidence. Going to need him to perform at that same level to put up enough points to beat Ole Miss.
Apparently, Tank has had some fumbling issues in practice which is why you've seen Hunter get the final drive a few times this year.
Tank finally had a couple of runs that gave fans a flashback of last season. Just nothing going that isn't off tackle.
Thought Bobo called another great game.

Defense

Zakoby was a dog out there per usual. Really need Owen back v Ole Miss tho. And I expect him to be out there.
There were times that our interior DL was getting destroyed but the D nutted up when it mattered and got a few huge stops.
Strip sack for a TD was the turning point in the game. Think it was Hall that got back there? Cant remember. This D needs to start creating some more turnovers and that one couldn't have come at a better time.
Ark was 4/32 on 3rd and 8+ at one point today they were 5/6. That is inexcusable. Game wouldn't have been close if we are even average on third down.
Tackling was bad to start the game. Angles were bad. Looked out of it on D the first few drives but were able to recover and had a great 4th quarter.
Did a fairly good job of limiting their QB in the run game. Think he had 18 for 65ish. Was afraid he would run for 150 on us.

Overall it is a win that keeps the hopes of the season alive. At this point it is hard to ask for more than that. Arkansas is a well coached team coming off 2 tough losses. They felt like they were cheated out of a W in Jordan Hare last year. They were about as motivated as you can get. To be honest I thought it would be a tough game for us to win. If Ole Miss gets the W tonight like I expect, it is gonna be a huge game in a couple weeks back on the plains.
