I'm about to lose my dad at age 92. He is very advanced in his Alzheimers and is spiking fevers and not eating or drinking. He is in a memory home under hospice care. Please pray for a peaceful, pain-free transition for dad and especially for my mom. She will be devastated by this. We really haven't really "had" dad as he was for several years but every now and then there is a faint spark of recognition when he sees her and sometimes when he sees me, like he thinks he should know me but not totally sure. They had their 60th anniversary this past November this is just going to devastate her. I'm not sure how I should or do feel in that I have told him every time I leave that I love him (wish I had done so earlier in life) and knew this would come. So part relief that he is a saved man and will have his mind clear in eternity and part extremely sad that I'm losing him. I hate this fvcking disease.
