We just got done viewing approximately 20 minutes of Auburn's practice as the Tigers gear up for Saturday's matchup against No. 1 Georgia.
Here are some of the things we saw:
OFFENSE
- Freeze was watching the receivers and paying close attention to those guys. They were working on getting off jams, blocking and being physical overall.
- Quarterbacks were working on play-action and getting the ball out quick. Immediate pull and immediate throw.
- Running backs were doing their usual footwork drills and did a drill on ball security.
- Offensive line was working on getting to the second level with their blocks.
- Running backs were also working on the handoff on the RPO from the QB.
- Tight ends were going up against each other in one-on-one blocking drills.
- Omari Kelly had a nice one-handed catch.
DEFENSE
- Ron Roberts was working with the defensive backs on jamming at the line of scrimmage while Crime Dawg was working with the safeties primarily.
- DJ James, Zion Puckett, Donovan Kaufman and JD Rhym were all going full on in practice.
- Larry Nixon III was participating in drills.
OTHER NOTE
- A rap version of Georgia On My Mind was blaring during one of the sessions. I don't think Stevie Wonder would approve of this one.
